Makerz Club - Tiny Worlds & Big Ideas

Exciting news! 🎉 Our Makerz Club: Tiny Worlds & Big Ideas continues into November with three special “Friends & Giving” classes on 11/6, 11/13 (just added), & 11/20 — celebrating friendship, gratitude, and creativity through collaborative building and simple sewing projects like mini flags, blankets, or accessories for their tiny creations. In Makerz Club, homeschoolers ages 5–11 will tinker, craft, and collaborate to design their own mini environments — from cozy cabins and magical marketplaces to secret treehouses and futuristic forts! Each session encourages creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork through open-ended, hands-on projects. Schedule: November “Friends & Giving” Sessions (with sewing): 11/6, 11/13, & 11/20 → 2 hours (10 AM – 12 PM) No Class: 11/27 Weekday: Thursdays

Sewing Circle

This hands-on sewing and fiber arts class is perfect for beginning and intermediate students who want to explore creativity through fashion and design. Over the course of 9 weeks, students will learn to use the sewing machine, develop hand-sewing techniques, and dive into mixed-media projects that reflect their personal style. Sewing is all about the freedom of making things! In this class, young makers will work with sewing machines, fabrics, paints, and even cardboard to create fun and functional pieces they’ll be proud to wear or share. Classes are 3-5pm every Wednesday from Sept 24 to Nov 19, 2025.

Little Folkies Music Class

Little Folkies is a multi-award winning family folk music class for parents and kids ages 0-5. Little Folkies music classes are pure musical fun! The teachers play guitar and engage students with finger play, hand movement, singing, dancing, rhythmic play and instrument jamming. The classes boost creativity, help develop speech and language, fine and gross motor skills with simple lyrics and repetition. Enjoyable for both kids and parents, featuring a 4-volume collection of songs now out on Smithsonian Folkways! This class is a parent-and-me style session, meaning each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the class.

Maker Studio Kidz weaves together crafts, STEM, and storytelling for kids, families, and curious minds. If you have a young aspiring maker in your life, come join us! We host Maker art classes in-studio and off-site, school-break camps, and birthday parties.
